Generally, Institute of Development Studies (IDS) serves to promote and develop research-based decision-making process with regards to the Sabah State Government’s policy formulation and implementation.

The courtesy visit to IDS led by Prof. TPr. Dr. GOh Hong Ching (Research Cluster Chair) accompanied by Ms. Nur Bahiyah Sujana to discuss possible collaboration between the entities for year 2025 related with capacity building for community and socio economic development. IDS also represented by Ms. Anita Limjoon (Associate Director​), Ms. Masneh Abd Ghani (Senior Research Officer​), Ms. Masmidah Arsah (Head of Grassroot Economy Division​) and Mr. Mansalasah Musa (Head of Social and Public Policy Division)
