[2024] PETRONAS Technical Sdn Bhd

The meeting with PETRONAS Technical was held with the objective to understand PETRONAS’s research interests and potential opportunities for collaboration. The session was attended by all Cluster chairs; Prof. Ir. Dr. Hazlie Mokhlis, Prof. ChM. Dr. Juan Joon Ching, Prof. Dr. Umah Rani Kuppusamy and Prof. TPr. Dr. Goh Hong Ching.

Following the previous meeting, UM has submitted Expression of Interest (EoI) from researchers and the industry has selected few projects to the next stage. The project presentation sessions are based on the research area. The details of the presentation are as followed;

Session 1: 13 November 2024

The session held at The Cube, Research Management & Innovation Complex (RMIC) and chaired by Prof. ChM. Dr. Juan Joon Ching (Research Cluster Chair). UM Researcher that selected to do the presentation is Dr. Nurulafiqah Nadzirah Mansor from Faculty of Engineering (Research Area: Energy) and few representatives from PETRONAS attended the session.

Session 2: 17 December 2024

The session held at the Meeting Room, Faculty of Engineering and chaired by Prof. Ir. Dr. Hazlie Mokhlis (Research Cluster Coordinator) and also attended by Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd Faizul Mohd Sabri, Deputy Dean (Research), Faculty of Engineering. UM Researchers that selected to do the presentation are from Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ir. Dr. Harikrishnan Ramiah (Research Area: IoT) and Prof. Ir. Dr. Sulaiman Wadi Harun (Research Area: Fiber optics). There are also few representatives from PETRONAS involved in the session.
