Universiti Malaya Centre of Research Sharing Session

Introduction

One of the main pushes of the Research Clusters is interdisciplinary research. One of the biggest challenges in carrying out this type of research is the fact that we do not have exposure to what other researchers are doing. Therefore, Research Cluster Office is taking the initiative by organizing a series of “UMCoR Sharing Session” events. This event is part of Research Cluster’s efforts under the Research Visibility Pillar, and it is hoped that this will strengthen inter-disciplinary research within UM.

So, what is this event?

UMCoR (UM Centre of Research) Sharing Session - this session is intended to provide a platform for the various UMCoRs to be visible and share their experience, expertise and research. With visibility, hopefully we will have better collaborations and better research outcomes.

It is our hope that the program provides an opportunity for researchers, people working in the field and others with an interest in the area to gather and discuss; and to network with each other, to engage with researchers and experience centres’ experts giving insights into their activities and latest work.

Aims of the sharing session:

• To promote the research centres to the UM community and public;
• To enhance knowledge on the role of research centres and sharing activities or achievements;
• To build collaboration and synergic links opportunities.
