[2024] Zoo Taiping

The preliminary meeting with Zoo Taiping with the objective to discuss on issues and challenges of sustaining the zoo and opportunity for collaboration. The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Umah Rani Kuppusamy and also attended by Prof. Ir. Dr. Hazlie Mokhlis (Research Cluster) and Dr. Noorhidayah Mamat (Faculty of Science) meanwhile Zoo Taiping is led by Mr. Muhammad Hafizzuddin Azhar. The management also invited UM Researchers to have a visit at Zoo Taiping.

Following the previous meeting, DVC (R&I) has organized a visit to Zoo Taiping and was led by Prof. Dr. Yahaya Ahmad (Associate Vice-Chancellor, Corporate Strategy). During the session, there was a follow-up discussion on the possible collaboration between UM and Zoo Taiping before official visit the zoo. Zoo Taiping was led by Dr. Muhamad Ridhwan bin Affendi (Director) and UM Researchers that also participated in this visit are;
